Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night
monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens. It also has music
by C418! So far 2470440 people have registered and 774583 people bought the game.

Instructions:
*Extract
*Run minecraft_setup.msi
*!!DONT CHANGE INSTALL PATH!!*
*Start minecraft with the minecraft.exe shortcut created on your Desktop
*Click LOGIN - gives error
*Click PLAY OFFLINE
*Have fun

NOTES:
Also runs on Linux and OSX, just extract the MSI with an unpacker, copy the .minecraft folder to ~/ (eg. /home/user/.minecraft), and start minecraft with the JAR in it (Double click)

Includes BETA Update, and latest patches until 22.12.2010

I started Minecraft after playing some Infiniminer with a couple of people from TigSource.
I realized that a game that simple yet that dynamic had a lot of potential to turn into a
really great game, and kept coming up with things I wanted to change and stuff I
wanted to add.
I had recently quit my job as a game developer to be able to focus more on indie
game dev during my free time, and I was looking for a new game to develop. I had a
few ideas floating around, but most required really long development times.

These two factors led to Minecraft.
