LEGO ISLAND 2: THE BRICKSTER'S REVENGE [RIP]

Quote: Lego island 2 puts you in the shoes of pizza-delivery boy Pepper, who for some reason has been charged with apprehending the evil Brickster and correcting all the damage he has caused to Lego Island.

Aside from being a generally unpleasant guy, the Brickster has stolen all the pages from the Lego people's "Constructopedia", consequently destroying most of the important buildings in town. The various pages were scattered all over the island, and one of Pepper's main objectives is to collect them and therefore rebuild the police station, skate park, hospital, etc.

Lego Island 2's gameplay is split into two main parts: adventuring and mini-games. The adventure aspect involves walking all over the (huge) island and carrying out tasks for people in order to get Constructopedia pages and other useful items. Almost everyone needs a favor done, whether it be a simple item trade or finishing a mini-game for them.

Pepper gets around Lego Island via sidewalks, either walking or riding his trusty skateboard. He can only cross the street at crosswalks, which really makes you learn the town layout and learn the best paths.

Mini-games are also a major part of the game, and you'll come across well over a dozen different ones. Some are as simple as Whack-A-Mole, while others can be as complex as an underwater-diving-for-treasure game or a skateboarding halfpipe competition. Each mini-game will reward you with quest items, and you can also play them over and over again to improve your score and win medals.

There are also trading cards to be found on the island, usually in hidden or hard-to-reach areas. Each one has artwork of an island citizen, Pepper's house has an album where you can check out your collection.

Lego Island 2 sports some very nifty pre-rendered visuals in its top-down view. The mini-games use many other views, depending on the situation. The music and sound effects employ Factor 5's famous MusyX sound engine for above-average.
