Dance Dance Revolution wasn't a revolution to the dance, but that didn't stop it from making a total revolution in every Arcade Hall.
Instead of either kicking or shooting your friend in the face with a shotgun, you could now challenge him in a dance duel instead.
DDR quickly became a huge hit in the Arcade, maybe because a lot of girls found this much more fun to play than House of the Dead or Street Fighter II.
The only downside with this that you looked like an complete fool when you tried the more difficult songs, so a home version would be excellent for those who wanted to become a really good "Dancer".
