In this 3D survival horror adventure, the story begins in 1997. It's the dead of night in Los Angeles. There has been a mass murder at a general hospital on the outskirts of downtown. The prepetrator is the director of the hospital, Richter Harris. He has shut himself up in the hospital and taken a number of patients as hostages. The police are helpless, unable to move in. You play as Richter's only daughter, Laura Harris, who after hearing the situation, rushes to the Los Angeles from San Francisco , and drives alone to the tragic scene at the hospital ground. Help Laura to figure out the riddle of her transformed Father. The game sometime demands quick actions and a particular job to be done within a time limit. The game also has multiple endings. There is a very rare edition of D called D's Diner: Director's Cut. It features never before seen sequences, background of the family members and a mini disc with Kenji Eno's D soundtrack on it. D was followed up by Enemy Zero. The gameplay here is of the seek-and-find variety, with puzzles thrown in for a little extra challenge. These puzzles mostly involve process of elimination and can be a bit tedious; success depends on equal parts of skill, luck, and patience (with a little knowledge of astrology thrown in). Your character, Laura, moves efficiently, if slowly, through the hospital, only pausing when there is an interactivity or something of note.
